End of Day Journal (7-13-2010)

Summary:

Woke up early, got some exercise... started up the charts and was so tired went back to bed for a couple of hours. I ended up doing some paper trading but nothing to brag about.

Spent the rest of the day trying to get caught up with some book work and Costa Rica prep, and still at it. Anyhoo...

Found some some great new artists to keep me company with the bookwork:

Bon Iver

The Tallest Man on Earth

Up early for a round of Disc Golf and then I plan on paper trading. On a side note, that new visual on the buy/sell volume did not work out at all. I am probably going to scratch the whole idea, but for now I will keep recording the day's activity.

  2. bon iver huh, broski, where were you a few months ago when they played a sick set at the mesa performing arts center? this band named megafaun opened up for them and those dudes were sick. megafaun ended their set by unplugging the acoustic guitars and going straight acoustic with guitar and vocals, no mics or anything. the concert hall was just filled with this awe inspiring sound of guitar and vocal harmonies. it was unreal!

paper tongues is coming to the clubhouse in tempe. i won't be around for the gig, but those dudes put on a sick performance. i am just thinking about your young one. get that kid fired up for the drums. although, like i said before, i don't know if he would be scared out of his mind.

that was recorded with just a video camera, no nice mic setups. that dude can sing his butt off.

if you can't tell, one of my favorite things about phoenix is you can see some of the most incredible bands in such intimate venues. being from NYC, if i wanted to see a show, i would be jammed packed into a some sweaty, nasty club. here, you can be comfortable and see a sick show.

check out these dudes as well:
